the birdwatcher got old after maybe three encounters and the crab providing an essay on capitalism felt pretty out of place
the background, music, general ambience, dialog/descriptions of items were really nice though! cool game
my friend and i are split - i believe you should remove the majority of the bird shoutouts as it strongly breaks the immersion; she disagrees

I feel like I never even thought that he would get old, but now that you mentioned it I can easily see how. And I completely see what you mean about him strongly breaking immersion.
