Choking back tears at such a detailed and motivating comment. I absolutely loooove reading these, I swear!
Balancing the villainy of the characters while leaving room for potential redemption was quite a challenging task. My goal was to create a storyline where the characters are portrayed in shades of gray, rather than just as heroes or villains. I'm soooo glad to hear that my efforts have paid off and that the vibe I aimed to convey is coming through.
As for whether the characters will become even more evil or find redemption, I'm trying my best not to give any spoilers. However, I can say that the demo hints at which characters have redemption arcs and which will remain unapologetically evil in the remaining routes. As much as I'd love to redeem everyone, the 'I can change him' trope would fall flat if applied to all the characters.
Regarding Sev, without giving too much away, her parents and their treatment significantly impact the Ehsas in the painting. Therefore, who knows— maybe by changing the flow of energy, things might change... or not. All I can say is that everything's connected, from the pixies' personas and Shyloh's mannerisms to Sev's own trauma.
Speaking of Shyloh, let's just say he's very reverent of Sev, and the title of God is above a Songbird, so to speak. So who knows if it was really him or another pixie at play, hehe... ^^
