oh were you playing on full screen ? Just tested it again and it works fine for me. I removed the "full screen" option from the itchio page, it might work better now. It is supposed to continue the story automatically after the video
So i tried again but using edge, and it worked, it seems that the problem is that am using opera, weird browser things, anyway am gonna check the game again later
