I admire your resolve to keep working until you can get everything to a high quality standard, but don't let it become an obsession to the point of leaving yourself unable to ever finish it. Perhaps there are compromises you can make while still being satisfied with the final result.
I've got a background in classical painting and graphic design. If you want, you could show me some of the current assets and a couple examples of works that served you as an inspiration, and I'll give you some pointers. Sometimes small adjustments can make a big difference in the overall look.
