  • This is reminiscent of early flash games which could be quite fun and engaging. There were several problems with running the game - having to install python and pygames without knowing the versions and specific instructions. With the video I was able to see what the potential issue may have been but it is worth stating that when submitting always include instructions for people to install and play. The concept could also be better explained. It does not feel like there is much understanding of diversity or empathy in the game but there may be more design intent that the team ran out of time to complete. For example, more research could have led to exploring how the original WW 2 Spotter Cards (that were first issued in 1942) were used in the war effort and how these were then incorporated into gameplay. Channel 4 released a flash game on 303 Squadron in 2010 that was phenomenal at that time. There is some fun potential in there. The team did well to get something functional but presenting the ideas and a pitch would be helpful!
  • Overall, it could be an exciting game, but I lack a bit of the effect and visual support that is needed to play the game properly.
  • Browser games like that where you're doing some shooting of airplanes etc can do really well online and be a fun little distraction, but it didn't look to me like it was doing anything wildly new and exciting. There's also effectively no diversity or empathy regarding the war in it as well which makes it tricky! But it's cool that they put something together and submitted it for us!
