- I like the idea of this sort of diplomatic choose your own adventure-esque game. The issue I have is there's touch of the Orientalism about the created world which I think is a bit problematic. But the actual framework idea could be an interesting one.
- It is very difficult to evaluate a concepts, at least for me, trying to do so I even played those games mentioned in the doc – Papers, Please and Suzerain (btw they are cool) – to understand the context. If I were to decide, I would like to see this game in a shape of Disco Elysium like one. The concept doc definitely invited me to imagine the game, to imagine its gameplay, it has enough information on the problem, on the fictional world, on the dilemmas players must face and pick the decision. It was not detailed enough for me in the gameplay part, that’s why I allowed myself to start coming up with ideas myself how it can look like and be played. And – just a thought of mine – the best games of such genre usually give players a choice of a character to play for – smart, blunt, strong, weak – and endings they want to get without judging, just showing the aftermath of it. Wanted to see that “gray morale” in the concept.
- An exciting format that could work very well in the indie game section. It also has a lot of different scenarios that can be used - be it historical or fiction. The devil here will be in the detail. The game mechanic needs to be engaging and exciting; given the chosen format, that will be challenging. But if done well, it can allow for hours of fun by improving your diplomatic skills! Nice!
