- I liked the wood carving part; it somehow connected with the storytelling, but in the end, it was tough for my mouse hand to free the entire violin—still a great take on how to implement historical artefacts to engage and educate players.
- It took quite a long time to saw the violin and different objects out of the block of wood, but that sort of approach was interesting and fun (at first). It struck me as being quite Peter Molyneux in its own way. A few extra objects to 'find' would've made things a bit easier, but I liked the approach to object collection
- I like the idea a lot, in its current shape I cannot name it a game, it should have a proper game loop for it, I would say – it is an interesting demo. But my imagination goes on and I see how this game can look like and how it can attract players, if only guys had more time for development. The stories are very empathic, however its integration into the gameplay is not on the highest level, so as a player I could not say I got a full immersion in it, though 3D model of items which you can rotate and observe definitely helps to draw an attention.
Which object does your game link to? Please explain the connection.
Object: The Western Front Violin.
Our game is inspired by the carving of this violin, a narrative driven game where you carve your own violin and as you carve you are reminded of memories from the great war
