I liked the mechanics and decisions to make. One thing would have been nice: to move while holding down an arrow key.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! You make a good point about the controls, I just felt like it would create problems for the turn based nature of the game and I didn't have the time to reconcile these two ideas well

This was honestly such a delightful surprise. Love the NES vibes, the stat tracking, the elements of strategy and adventure.
