I'm really happy I went to the game page to read the description, because at first I thought it was a kind of copy of beat saber but with +- instead of blue/red to match the opposite theme, and with collider not really working (but with really nice atom-like particle effects for the plus & the minus). I was completely wrong, I was playing the game wrong and didn't even understood correctly the goal. The actual idea, being inside an atom and trying to balance a bunch of e- & p+, is really creative! And it fit the theme perfectly.
So knowing that, I think you did a great job finding your idea, I also think you did a really good job implementing the mechanics, especially in Godot, and you even did a great job on the music and the particle effects. In the end the weak point is the game design to communicate what was expected from the player, but it's not an easy skill, especially in a 72h game jam, so considering all that you did a really good job

I think I'm bad at video games, lol. I liked the concept here but was bad at aiming! Just read that you did this in Godot, nice work!
If you get a sec this week, would love for you to check my out submission and drop a rating! https://itch.io/jam/vr-super-jam/rate/1249489
Thank you for giving it a try, your comment helped me understand what people expected the game mechanic to be. I am new to VR, I think people are used to the beat saber rythem punching work out game concept. This is more hold it at the right position with the correct hand so the force reflects it the direction you want like opposing magnets. I think I need to change the physics to work with a punching motion and add an indicator which direction you are pushing it to help aim. Or a collection and shooting concept.
Good concept for a game mechanic
Some notes for if you decide to keep going with it:
- A little tutorial at the start would have been good
- I found it a little difficult to aim, though I have not hit beat saber in a while so maybe thats me .. lol
- When I hit them some changes in the music (which fits well by the way) would have been great
- A score or proficiency so I can see how well or badly I am playing
On the audio front look into audio stems with mixers to ramp up as the player is preforming well
Good job
