The art style was very clean and well suited to a jam! As much as the gameplay itself was relatively simple, sometimes the best games to come out of jams are just that; simple!
I think the gameplay could definitely be improved by adding some more visual queues to when your dash/attack is ready (a simple animation like his head fire flashing stronger or even a UI timer in the bottom corner)
Overall, a solid and robust working game from a solo team! We think you did well!
I really like the smores idea. I wasn't expecting to get thrown into the chaos right away though, so I died really quickly. My next attempts fared slightly better. But with the size of the arena and the dash system not working consistently, it was nearly impossible to do too much. That coupled with clipping through the walls and floor when I dash was a bit disorienting. It was nice that the game didn't penalize the player when that happened though! It puts you right back in the arena so you can get right back into the action! Which is awesome; and the characters were really cute too.
Love how the crackers look and walk!
I feel like the arena is a little small and it's easy to get overwhelmed. Maybe some extra platforms above would be useful?
Good job nevertheless!
I enjoyed the cute graphics! I had a little trouble with the controls and the dash didn't seem to work consistently for me. I love the theme of using smore elements.
