Theme Interpretation
Death is a card of the Major Arcana Tarot, its one of the strongest cards to be dealt in the game and is therefore useful.
The game heavily features gambling in its gameplay and theming.
If you make it past the first round you are forced to consume a hallucinogenic, this makes it so that some cards in your hand are hallucinated to be other cards.
