Nice game! I do wish the timer were longer because it was a little too easy to get to the point where it doesn’t feel like I could get much higher since I’m jumping as soon as I land, but for a nice showcase of a simple mechanic this is really solid. Although the row with 4 platforms does hurt my brain a bit!
This is my first submission to a Trijam. This game was made using dragonruby. You can check out the source code here: joshleblanc/trijam-266 (github.com) (sprites & sound omitted from the repo).
Sprites are from Kenney: Shape Characters · Kenney
Sounds are also from Kenny: Impact Sounds · Kenney
Music is from ineedmusic.co: Lo-Fi Music Pack – Ineedmusic.co
This project leveraged drecs, a simple ECS system for dragonruby: joshleblanc/drecs (github.com)
I can’t test it on my x64 at the moment but after loading on my ARM it’s got a lot of system lag despite the 7mb size.
