the sounds were fun. the art stile was very unique, over all a great game. the hit detection is busted though...

Developer

Thenk you, you are right about hit detection I had some time problem in there

Submitted(+1)

I really like the visuals! And the soundeffects made me smile. :D Only complaint I have is that some of the bullets doesn't hit. But overall its a fun game. Well done! :)

Developer

Thank you, I couldn't solve the bullet problem in time. Code seems fine but hit detection sometimes doesn't work. I might upload a postjam version if I can solve it.

It seems like every other shot would go right the ghost without hitting it. Is there an invulnerability period upon taking damage?

Developer

I would say it is a feature but no, it is a bug that I couldn't solve in 3 hour period. Seemingly, it happens when there is too many bullets in screen but I couln't find the real reason  :(

I love the paper aesthetic. It's looks amazing. Did you draw the assets on paper and scanned them in? I love sounds fx too... Plus you can't go wrong with good GTA style shooting machanic. I loved it :)

Developer

Thank you for your kind reply :)

To make paper like aesthatics I draw all my assets in krita using a  blackpencil brush. Also I used a graphic tablet  for more realistic looking. Then I exported them without backgrounds. In godot (game engine) I put a paper texture (that I found online) as a background so when I place my assets on it, it looked like drawings on paper

Always like a paper aesthetic :)

Developer

thank you, I tried to find something that I could do in short time so I imagined a game where a kid draws things to paper and imagines it as a videogame
