Dinosaur Town

Correlation to theme
I used some heavy tri-bass to try to get a prehistoric-sounding beat and kept things relatively simple. The overall mood is melancholy, and at times triumphant which I feel would fit well with a theming of a village of dinosaurs who had survived the initial apocalypse/extinction event. Sort of where my mind was when making it! :)

I imagine it must be hard to give chiptune a specific vibe, as you don't have many 'instruments' to work with. I think you did a nice job by having most instruments play low and having a wild 'drumset'. Though chiptune ain't my usual cup of tea, well done :D

Nice track, well composed.

The tempo, beat and bass sound prehistoric. It's great to have managed to give this atmosphere with "just" chiptune.

I could easily imagine a dinosaur village in a NES or Gameboy RPG.

Congratulations!

I love the mood of this one! It paints a vivid picture in my mind of a dusty town filled with a bunch of grizzled dinosaurs who are the last of their kind. I can imagine a triceratops with a wicked scar and eye patch living in this particular town haha.

I really love the interplay between the bass and melodic parts. That call and response sort of feel really gives the track that right balance between melancholy and triumphant that you were going for. I also love your use of that squeaky lower frequency noise that lands on the downbeats throughout the piece, it has a 'dinosaur stomping around' sort of effect that feels really cool. Great work!

This town seems rather ominous which goes with the melancholy feeling you described, but the insertion of the triumphant syncopated harmonized line adds that feeling of safety that a town might feel like in a game with dinosaurs who have survived. The heaviness of the percussion and bass work well for this theme! Overall great work and thank you for sharing!
