That's a really cool map generator. Like it. Some inbuild instructions will be better. Showing the fps on the top of the window is a great. Window resizing have some issue. This generate maps very fast. This tool have great potential. Which framework/ tool did you use to make it? Did you used wave function collapsed technique ?
Hey! Thank you so much for checking out the tool!
This was our first attempt at implementing wave function collapse. I agree that some instructions would be great to add and we hope to add that and some more functionality in the future.
We used olc Pixel Game engine, a one header file game framework. Made by a guy on YouTube by the channel name Javidx9. He has a lot of great videos on c++ which is what we coded this tool with.
Cool. You did great on implementing on the wave function collapse. Thanks for the info. And i like to see more from you in future. Thanks.
Loads of fun making levels with the tetris constraints on the tile parts. Nice idea.
Thank you! I'm glad you gave it a try :)
Very interesting tool, can be really helpful for 2d-gamedev.
In my opinion, will be better if we can separately chose Figure and Texture.
Good job!
thank you for the kind words and a great idea. In the future we hope to add some functionality to this. That will certainly be on the list.
It works great! But I didn't fully understand the purpose of the tool
Hey, thanks for checking it out! Right now it is used to generate a tile map image that you can use for a project like a game's world map either for video games or ttrpg. In the future we want to expand the functionality of this. For now it's mostly for fun.
