Very basic platformer but done very well, Art is very nice along with the animations, with the music giving the game a nice vibe. A lot could be added but overall it's a very good core version for something bigger.

the art and music were done very well. as you said adding a couple more obstacles and paths would have helped greatly, and personally I would have made the jump height be based on how long the spacebar is held down to add a little more control. but all in all its relatively good

Very well done with the sprite work, one of the best looking games on here by far. Also good job reflecting on where you ran out of time!

As for feedback that hasn't been mentioned, adding some parallax to the background would push the visuals even more, and being able to vary the jump height based on holding the button would be a nice touch too. Varied height would also probably help with selecting multiple paths if you ever do come back to the game as well!

I loved the art aspect of the game and the game having a soundtrack is very nice too! My criticism isn't of the gameplay itself, but rather the fact that the game closes itself if you fail, rather than giving you the option to restart. Something for the players to compete over would be a nice addition, like a high score or a fastest clear time, but I appreciate that time was tight.

Pretty cool side scroller, i liked the art style and the music and sound effects were good as well.

Got a lot of metroid vibes from it and the front flip animation was really good!

A solid start to a game, i think adding the things you mentioned and maybe a score system would be a great way forward with this.

Wanted to add some enemies to dodge and some collectible coins and more than one path for the player to follow, however time  constraints and a lack of knowledge didn't allow me to get these done in time.
