It took me a little while to realise that the floor was giving me orientation cues, and I was nearly done with wandering around aimlessly by the time I did notice. Once that clicked though, I was able to navigate the play space with purpose, and it was pretty enjoyable.
I had a bit of trouble getting the kind of control I needed out of the keyboard controls, but my hands don't do so well with gamepads and I found that I wasn't able to use the alternate effectively - for me, this would have been much more accessible as a toggle.
The game also doesn't exit properly, as though the "auto accept quit" setting has been disabled, but get_tree().quit() is never actually called.
I really enjoyed the presentation - for what was there, the animations were fun and effective, and the movement of the puzzle pieces at level start felt great.
The different attack types had a really positive effect on enemy encounters, creating a lot of potential variety where I think it would otherwise be much less interesting.
All round, great work!
I hope you had a positive experience using Godot, and thanks for doing a Linux build!
