This has some good atmosphere to it!
I really struggled to get the timing down on the dash - it felt like there was a delay that was making me walk into enemies before the dash actually occurred, and then I'd run out stamina and wasn't really able to recover. I ended up cheesing the enemies by jumping after the were alert, or by hitting them from above on a step.
I was able to kill all of the enemies in the lower area, and I explored everywhere that I felt I could on the upper area (not during a single life though), but didn't end up finding the final boss.
