Sadly I get a strange output (see above)

I run with manifest.scm after fixing a small typo (ncursesw).

I'm unable to play this game because of the following error.

Passing a string as a type-name to make-record-type is deprecated.

Also there is a typo in the manifest,  in the ncurses library.

That's strange. Do you have some env var set for Guile other than GUILE_WARN_DEPRECATED? It shouldn't error, only warn.

See the comment below for the updated manifest.scm that I created after the submission!

If you are using GNU Guix, please use this manifest.scm instead of the one submitted in order for the game to run properly:
