Thanks for the suggestions! I'm thinking about making auto-fire a permanent feature and adding fire rate upgrades. And yeah, some upgrades are a bit expensive, but it's a fun little challenge—and if you manage to get them, they're definitely worth it!
A good little topdown shooter. Not too difficult but pretty fun. The only difficulty I had was trying to determine what upgrades matched to where so I could level them up. Linking them with the same color and shape would help. Otherwise it worked really well and was a smooth gameplay experience.
Thank you! In the newest update I worked on outside of the game jam, the upgrades now have their own colors. You also get a small info box when you hover over one—it shows the name, a little icon, and some upgrade details.
