Really polished and really fun game!

I think this game really showcases how much you can do with so little as long as it's all really polished. There's only three enemy types but they all function in such different ways that offer unique and fun challenges. The three upgrades are all fairly simple and straightforward but make you feel like your progressing. The difficulty curve is nice and the checkpoints are much appreciated. There's all kinds of feedback both visual and auditory. The only minor issue I have is I kind of wish the music was louder and the shooting sound effect was a little quieter but all around I had a really great time!

A great game with great polish. One thing I worried about this jam is how many games would throw you back to the start and make you go through everything again to get back, but you had the great idea of implementing a checkpoint system, which I'm glad you did, because after dying to the boss, I didn't feel discouraged to try and back to the same point, and got to experience your game until the credits rolled.

Only complaints I've got are really just tiny nitpicks, like how it's not consistent with how you can you space instead of z to shoot, but can't use it to select things. Also as far as I'm aware, there's no real reason not shoot, so while playing I ended up just holding the space button without letting go.

But those are really small nitpicks, and overall I really enjoyed this one, really great and fun.

Thanks for creating!
