Fun game and quite big as well :)
Always love me some 2D golf games!
The game, for me, does not really deliver too well on the exploration part. It feels kinda linear. Although I didn't get past the water once I got 3/3 shots. It got too frustrating for me to go on.
The game itself was quite polished, nice effects, the indicator for the power was well done. The music was great and the sound effects fit really well. The multiple shots are really cool and the narrator's voice fit well too and the different themes were fun to see. The whole ambiance was great!
Also, making the ball drop with a single click was a nice addition I used it a lot when I got 2/2+ shots.
Some feedback points, in my opinion, would be:
- The gravity is really heavy. It would be nice to be able to hit harder. The indicator doesn't nearly show hard I will hit the ball. I keep overestimating it and it becomes annoying real quick.
- The level design is all over the place. The first couple of holes felt really difficult and combined with the strange shot power it became an annoyance. I suddenly didn't feel like "exploring" anymore. I skipped a hole as well and did not see any repercussions for it.
- It is difficult to see where to go. I landed beneath the grass level and I didn't know where to go after the 2/2 shot upgrade. After a while I did figure it out and then I got stuck on part right after it. It didn't feel fun for me because of that.
