  • An excellent piece of work, we were really impressed by the fidelity of the work you brought through to the final piece especially in the fabrics and face textures. Considering you were running out of time on the hair and fur it still looked very good, if you were to come back to the hair on this character we would recommend just a few more cards to blend in where the root of the hair joins the head. The only other feedback we'd have is the choice of background colour for your renders to pick a colour that would contrast with the character silhouette. Brilliant work, well done!
  • Hi Hilary, good work on the character. I have some feedback that will help you bring the character up to the next level. - Rework the hair and fur. I recommend a tutorial by Adam Skutt, or Emmanuel Lecouturier, to learn how to make hair for current generation characters. - Material work - Make sure to get reference of real world materials when texturing. The cracks in the leather are very large, too big to be believable. Work off of reference all of the time when texturing. - Skin - More work needs to be done with the skin shader, the hand is looking pretty translucent and gummy, and the face is looking like it doesnt have enough translucency. - Eyes - I recommend downloading the DigitalHuman project off of the Unreal Marketplace to study how they did the eyes, and incorporate them into your character. It will also be good to look at how they set up the skin shader as well.
  • A very very nice sculpt and character. I could find many faults with it, so had to really nit pick to be constructive. I found the highlight of the metal of the axe a little to much, it made it look a little waxy, but that is server nitpicking. It’s a lovely lovely character that I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the marmoset viewer of. You will do well in the industry, keep it up!
