• Hi Amanda, nice work finishing the dragon for SFAS. Over all it's very well executed, and you seem to have accomplished your goals and realize what you need to improve on in the future. Anatomy - The only notable change I would recommend is looking at how the mouth of the dragon is built, as it feels a bit awkward. Look at how horses, dogs, big cats, and lizards overlap their upper half of the mouth over the lower half, how the teeth sit inside the mouth when closed. Right now the dragon feels like its lips are too thin and pulled back, which means that it could never fully close its mouth when it might need to. I might also have adjusted how much loose hanging skin there is on the underside, since it has a long neck the skin would need to stretch and compress a lot when moving. Lastly, the placement of some of the spikes on the body feels a bit wrong. If the dragon needed to curl up to sleep, would it be stabbing itself when resting? The spikes on the ribs, and under the neck are the main spots that stand out. Best of luck going forward.
• Looking good, the best thing is you know now to create a character, know how to research (I also have that very same anatomy of animals book, its served me well) and know the process of character creation. Yes the texture wasn’t perfect, a mix of stylised to real, and you could use more sculpting practise, but it works and looks great. Everything else will come in time! Its great that you can self-reflect and know also where you want to head with your work! Keep it up!
