• Silver Sentinel is really great work! The reference and thought process show excellent research and development; the documentation is thorough and the final presentation is great. For the sake of constructive feedback the creative and technical have been slightly marked down: Creatively: the design is beautiful, but the character loses some dramatic Action and Characterisation in the details of the complex armour. This armour serves to camouflage the overall form and pose of the character which makes it harder to read. Simplifying some of these details, along with the very complex feather and fabric textures would help to add large scale, low frequency shapes. Technical: the modelling, texture and hair work are very strong, but the skin shader is a little flat and matte: with more work this could have some of the oily patches to add sheen, finer pore detail, sub surface simulation etc. also more could be done to balance the eye and skin shaders, perhaps some extra lights in the eyes that illuminate the brows and cheeks. This is "fine tuning" feedback on really good work!
• A great piece of work, you know where you had problems, and are looking at fixing them in the future, I agree marmoset is so much easier to work with, good for portfolio pieces but sadly not a reality of the games industry and games engines. I use it with my personal work as well though! Just watch your elbows and knees. I can see you could have used a loop or two more on those elbows, and maybe knees also, but apart from that a very well-constructed piece. Keep it up your great!
