Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • Ambitious scope, nicely put together feature set.  let down by problems with aiming, likely mainly caused by the bug that was in the base project, but exacerbated by the low rate of fire making it hard to adjust based on the visual feedback of firing.  Additionally all the units look like they are floating above the world - likely caused by a lack of shadows - a simple blob would have helped so much here.

  • I was super impressed by the amount of work you actually managed to get done. However I would put some work into making it clearer where you are going to aim, I found it absolutely impossible to actually hit anything.

  • Great stuff. Love the style and the idea behind it. Nice polished features too such as the mini map.

I will say it's a little too hard, night 2 is really hard. I recommend working on the balance of the game. I'd love to see better player/enemy animations but overall great job.

  • I can see a lot of effort went into this and it broadly pays off. It looks great and is an interesting mix of different mechanics. I think my main criticism is that it's hard to tell exactly where you are aiming and that problem sort of slightly undermines the whole game.

Looks like a very good game but it's a shame it's not very well balanced. It took quite a lot of effort to get through the first night and seems basically impossible to survive the second. I wish it was a bit easier so I could play more :D
