Hello, everyone! At this stage, I am seeking a team of like-minded individuals with whom we can bring all our ideas and dreams to life, as well as gain new connections and skills.
That's why I decided to participate in this jam, to take my first step into the world of game development. I take everything related to development and organization very seriously and am focused on achieving 100% results. If this appeals to you and you are as determined a developer as I am, then you've come to the right place.
So, here I will present a brief pitch for the game that I aim to implement as part of this jam.
The setting was chosen to be the aesthetics of the former USSR in order to evoke nostalgia for the seemingly not-so-great times of the past, but I think it adds spice to the atmosphere of the game.
We will play as a KGB agent who arrives undercover in one of the villages of the Moldavian SSR to investigate and identify followers of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The main mechanics of the game are investigation and evidence gathering, followed by compiling the collected information into a kind of “case” against a particular person. The player can gather all the evidence and reach the correct verdict, or they can get confused or fail to gather enough evidence, thereby convicting an innocent villager.
This entire detective story is intertwined with elements of horror, which makes the investigation even more atmospheric.
This is a brief pitch for the game. To bring it to life, we will need two 2D artists (pixel art), two Unity/Godot programmers, and one sound designer. I will serve as the game designer.
