This is a really intense project to have been made in scratch- that can't have been easy! I remember making a copy of the snake game once, and that was fiddly enough. Have you ever considered unreal engine? Programming in Blueprint isn't actually too different from Scratch, just more fiddly, but it's the move I made and never looked back :D (-Bella, 1/2 of FNGD. Sam liked the game too though :D)

Thanks for the suggestion

Wow! Scratch! I haven't seen one of these on itch before. With the amount of effort you put into doing all these things that scratch wasn't programmed to do, I think you'll find that using a professional game engine won't be much harder.

Developer

Thanks. I will definitely switch to a more professional game engine.

Saved my soul! Quick and quite fun, amazingly done for a Scratch game

I was a bit surprised to see a scratch game in the jam.  It was okay, pretty basic but still had some fun to it.

Felt like I was back on Coolmathgames.com. Loved it

This is definitely… something!

I can not wrap my head around what this is exactly. It is a sort of game, but I feel this reflects an extreme beginner’s note into the field. Based on the engine this is made on, I can assume some details on you and for that reason will spare being too harsh.

Overall, this is most definitely messy and lacking any clear direction. The menu music was far too loud and the idea of a wall of text as instructions is simply bad practice in the field.

While I try to avoid saying this as much as possible as I feel any engine can make an interesting product, I have to say Scratch is an exception. I truly feel the main problem is the fact you were using Scratch, which greatly inhibited your abilities to make a game of much polish, though I applaud your effort!

For Scratch, it’s impressive! For a standalone title, this needs to go back to the drawing board.

I agree, Scratch is not the best engine. It is messy, limited it makes it hard to have smooth transitions as you can't make scenes in scratch, there is no rigid body system nor a way to change all the players speed with one line of code. Overall it is not good for creating games other than beginner level ones.  I have been using scratch for way too long. I need to find a new engine. Thanks for the feedback.
