You appear to have a pretty stable and engaging game, although a demo I like the game mechanics you have chosen to use.  This is like a very basic version of Portal moving from area to area completing a set of puzzles and challenges which was a fun experience.  Everything appeared to function well although I did get a bit lost with the laser redirection as you seem to change the path with the same cubes depending on the direction the player himself goes but I was able to work around it.

You don’t appear to have a UI system in place (such as a main menu or quit function).  This should be added in the future to all games to give it a feel of a more professional appearance.  You also seem to be lacking in sounds or music, there should be some ambient sounds in your game just to break the silence and it helps the player to play longer.

You documentation is detailed and you explain the stages of development but in future I would recommend screenshots showing your stages of construction which can help people get a visual idea in the event they are not sure what you are trying to explain.

    Summary

I enjoyed this game very much, it’s simple construction and functionality provided an entertaining experience and the puzzles were not repetitive.  There is certainly room for improvement but then again there always will be in game development.  As a YouTuber and game developer myself we consider it a pleasure to try your games and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to try your game.

  • Despite not providing docs for all keys, I worked out E to pickup.  Good idea for a puzzle game, I like how you start with simple puzzles gradually making them more complex.  Basic controls need to be improved upon, more fluid and less rigid and make easier to move/place objects accurately.  Providing sfx, animating UI and more effects for player-feedback when completing or accomplishing a puzzle/task.

A rather enjoyable little puzzle game about redirecting lasers with cubes. Has major problems with tutorialisation towards the middle, but there's just enough feedback and ideas to make it work. If I could rate it, I'd give it a 4/5.

(Disclosure: I'm on good terms with the developer)
