I really like the harmonies for this one, a little on the jazzier side but really nice! the instrumentation is also really cool!! It sounds like a piano-e piano- harpsichord blend, which I really enjoyed! :)

Maybe a little too jazzy for a death scene inspired piece? The harmonies are nice though.
I don't know that we'll ever quite purge jazz from my stuff completely. I tried to keep it somber from what I'd known in the Super Famicom era in the early to mid 90's. Kingdom Hearts is long after my physical console days
Yo, never do that. We are supposed to learn new stuff, not forget it.
Even pure jazz has its place in scoring (ever heard of Cowboy Bebop?). Don't ever try to fight it, rather grow from it.
Interesting sound design there! I know you wrote on your synth, but did you stack like a harpsichord sound with piano and strings? I really like that.
The third (lead?) overlay sound is i believe a sub-set of the electric piano tone list :)
