QNet's itch.io pageDescription of the game
QNet is a hacking puzzle game set in a future where quantum computing and quantum networks are prevalent. The player's objective is to hack nodes to gain access to a final server with the key information.

How is your game related to quantum physics?
QNet is intended as an educational experience with the game using a Quokka device (a computer that can simulate a 30-qubit quantum computer) to send quantum circuits for evaluation. When actions are taken in the game, specific circuits (behind the scenes) are sent to the Quokka to be run, and the results are sent back to the game's code.
The role of the game is to use entanglement and to manipulate and pair entangled quantum servers (nodes) to solve a level in fewer turns than possible than a traditional computer would allow!
How is your game related to the theme? (Theme is (en)tangle ! )
The "server" nodes are representations of qubits, and specific pairs of qubits begin entangled, with the player knowing which pairs they are. The goal of QNet is then to match pairs of entangled nodes together.
A second key feature of QNet is the ability to use a quantum teleportation protocol (what is known as a quantum resource) to distribute entanglement to other pairs of un-entangled nodes. This is done with the "override" (aka teleport) button, which can be pressed when selecting a pair of unentangled nodes. When doing so, those nodes are forced to be matched. As a result, those nodes' entangled partners become entangled themselves, resulting in the player being able to match all pairs in fewer turns than classically possible!!
