This is a really cool game for your first jam!
As for feedback, try adding stars in the background and changing their position with the camera to create a sense of movement. Also, adding a high score feature would be cool.

I like these types of games where it takes a bit to get used to but after that it becomes super fun to excel at

Thanks for playing. I should have tried to make the controls easier and do some tweaking to the enemies. I'll keep it in mind next time
