Sean Bonnette's lyrics often display his struggle finding a place in dominant forms of masculinity. I think trans people flock to AJJ because gender dysphoria is present in these lyrics. whether intentional of not. This book of erasure poems mainly explores that dysphoria, as well as accountability based in growth instead of shame.
