  • Didn't get to far, sort of vague directions. Collection potions is neat but doing something with them would be nice!

Shadowbound is a dark platformer, with a simple story of collecting all potions and escaping the shadows.

Controls:
Move: WASD/Arrow Keys
Jump/Double Jump: Space
CTRL: Shoot

Extra Notes
We had a lot of fun learning how to develop/create a game from scratch.

Fun little puzzle-platformer!

Graphics look nice, but I’d like if there was some visual feedback on getting hit, like little animation or screen shake instead of just instantly restarting.

Also please put controls inside the game. It’s not immediately obvious that you can double jump or shoot, so player can get stuck and be forced to open a different tab to see the control.

The barrel sprite looks like and obstacle, that is misleading. Maybe make it darker so that you understand that you can go through.

I wish you could just restart the level on death, instead of some checkpoint. I got to the level were there are only 2 potions for some reason, died, and honestly couldn’t be bothered to do same levels again.

But nonetheless, good job!
