  • The Alchemy theme is there, but doesnt feel very useful. It could be used for a puzzl mechanic to make more use of it. The Art is simple but works perfectly fine for the game. Could be really fun to play through with some more dev time for this.

Corporate Slave is a game where the objective is to get to work. Only you’ve just woken up and the sun is so bright! Corporate Slave is a platformer that wants you to fail.

The player has to jump from shadow to shadow. When walking in the sunny parts of the level the player takes rapid damage, until you transmorph and switch the player’s elements around in order to be in the sun.

Each level introduces a new challenge.

Neat.

Loved the presentation, there's some strong visual language in the game; the gameplay is.. there, but falls a bit flat on account of lacking any kind of juice/pizazz. First two levels were solvable without engaging the core mechanic of transmuting yourself to "sun-resistant", which rendered the first "tutorial" level less effective than it could have been, and having to switch between looking at the center of the screen (where the main action is), bottom left (where the countdown for "effect active" is), and top right (where current health is) is the main pain point I'd seek to remedy.

But overall a very nice little entry, it's playable, it does what it sets out to do, and looks great while doing so :) Congrats!

Nice execution. Love the intro arts. I didn't fond any sound effects. I don't if its a bug from my side.

This reminds me of a shadow game I like.

Loved playing this. Keeping it simple and engaging. Way to go  !!!

Very beautiful game! Even though it is very simple, I can see this type of game being a favorite among many. My only side not is that there isn't much alchemy? The shadows are very prominent, but perhaps I missed this alchemy somewhere? Either way, I enjoyed this game for what it is: social commentary on modern life and the ever increasing existential dread everyone seems to be victim of.

Very existential, This is a very clever way of doing shadows and Alchemy.

The main mechanic is very simple to understand and the complexity added with moving shadows makes the game have more depth, great job.

I did run into an issue with the transmorph skill not blocking damage a few times but over all its a very solid game even if it did make me question my life haha.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
