- I could see a lot of effort went into this game here, but I wasn't able to figure out how to kill the enemy that was in front of me even after attempting to mix and match all the items (some successfully). There should have been a tutorial battle for the first one. That would really help people who come from all sorts of backgrounds learn and appreciate your game. Obviously there's tons of potential here and little more time would have really helped. You have skill! Keep at it!

Tell us about your game!
Story: They came from nothing, bursting out of the ground seeking to destroy anything they touched. We fought back with our spells and weapons, but every victory, every one of their armies we beat more just took their place. As when they killed they puppeteer the corpse like a broken doll.
But hope was never lost. As things were looking grim you and your mentor discovered a plant that produced such powerful light no shadow could withstand it. But with your mentor dead, you alone must journey to where the first shadows were born and plant the light root and save everyone.
How to play: When on the overworld map, click on any location to travel to it. While moving to the location you might encounter a random event.
Combat - only need you mouse
Combine two different materials together with a catalyst to create a spell. (Catalyst goes into the biggest slot while the materials go into the smaller slots)
Each spell cast uses an action point .
To win you must reach the Heart of Darkness and survive long enough.
Extra Notes
Only had 6-8 days you work on this. Beside 3 Sprites from my friend TrailMyx, I created everything else.

Nice game loop, I found one strong combination and used it to kill everything! Well done. Would love some fighting animations/visuals and some sound.
