  • This game was interesting to play, as the movement was easy to understand and to play. while the movement was easy, being able to understand the design choices are not very interesting as I was not able to find any potions to use as a way of getting through the red blocks, so I was unable to getting through the first section

You play as a little green guy who can use his shadow to navigate a maze-like castle. As you navigate the game, you will find flasks that will allow you to use alchemical abilities as well. Using shadows and alchemy, can you escape the castle?

Controls and Game Document are listed/linked in the description of the game.

Extra Notes
While I have no expectations of winning the game jam, I do just want to say thank you for hosting this Game Jam. I have learned a lot of programming in the last two weeks that I didn't already know including raycasting, layermasks, and the benefit of a team over working solo. Thank you again for this wonderful experience, next time, I hope to join a full team and make an even better project!

As a solo, you've done really well to get all the mechanics in the game that you did, well done!

I'm sure it was a technical thing, but the jumping has a stiff feel do it, I'm sure that can always be updated :)

Love that you made the sticky effect make the person have a big slime around them hahahaha

Thank you for the praise, I definitely can see where the jumping feels stiff. With a little more time invested into it, I think I could fix that.

The coloring on the square guys started as a visual effect to tell if the status was working or not, but it became a nice visual cue, so I opted to make it part of the actual game!
