  • game had some bugs with the crafting interface, and the movement not being smooth in game. that being said. the firs death had me laughing a bit. I think this could be a great idea for a funny comical game. I think you should definetly pursue this idea.

Tell us about your game!
Wizard Death Simulator (WDS) is a top-down, exploration-focused fantasy game, with the goal being to seek out every different way your wizard can die as they carry on their wizardly legacy. WDS currently features crafting and turn-based combat (Ultima-style), and will include rogue-like elements. As the player interacts with the world, they will gain permanent upgrades that will carry over between runs, furthering their goal of death strengthening their alchemical prowess. Controls currently include tile-based movement with WASD, spell-casting with Q, crafting menu with C, and further menu interactions with the mouse.

Extra Notes
Go slow with the crafting, it's a little jank. A hot-fix was required in the 8 hours before submissions ended.
Also, the GDD is a link in the description of the game, since I wasn't sure where else to post it.

Fun little game. The turn-based idea is cool, however in this case I would have allowed a continuous input to be made because spamming arrow keys became tedious. :)I had a hard time crafting initially, but once you get it, it's fine.
