  • I found the movement controls smooth. The game is missing background music and sound effects. The visuals are nicely done. I believe the game could benefit from a small in-game tutorial. I like the puzzle aspect where light is the obstacle. Looking at the GDD, I see some interesting ideas that would make nice additions to the puzzle. I hope you continue working on this, and I look forward to seeing what you create for the next Jam as well!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes!

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
I wanted to make a puzzle game where you need to manipulate objects to achieve a goal while avoiding light- though the light is only a hinderance to *items* rather than yourself. Perform mundane tasks... with magic..! it only uses the mouse.

Extra Notes
Well, like I'd repeated a few times throughout the documents, I couldn't get my vision realized very well...
however, this project also got me considering how to use different control schemes besides just gamepad/keyboard and taught me that puzzle design is hard! also this is still a lot for 2 weeks for me to accomplish, I think. I got a diploma from graduating college I can feel better about hanging up now that I've put something out there.

It's a really nice prototype! I think the light could be a bit more clear (it seems to be everywhere), but the esthetic is nice. This could be a fun untitled goose game type game, where you have hints in the corner and have to move stuff around the house to complete the tasks!

the visual style in this game is very appealing, give an almost story book look. I had fun just messing around with the objects then accidently turned the lights off! if this was polished and further developed I think the game would be great! this is an impressive proof of concept !

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
