  • While I understand that something may have broken and you revised it after the deadline, my review is based on what you submitted before it (still taking into account what the issue was). Firstly, I found the art and music to be nicely tied together--an eerie feeling while traversing a space with enemies you want to avoid make for an interesting experience. The way you tied in the themes made more sense with shadow than alchemy here; more because of the aspects shown with the character and enemies and overall style of the game. With alchemy, the most I could take from my experience was the scattered books you had to find, with some of them not displaying any kind of information or knowledge that would have been either useful or could have told me practically anything. Along with that, even collecting items seemed useful in one instance (right before the end) where I assume the player was able to go invisible. Overall, my time playing was fun for what you were able to present, and I'm sure with the revision, it'll be more of a challenging experience due to the light source and structure. Keep up the hard work

Stealth based horror game where sneaking and exploring pays off with both collectible journals and ingredients for potion crafting.
Find your way out of the forest.

Extra Notes
Last version broke the game so the dark creepy light was gone (couldn't re-upload 5 min after deadline) But added a link to the fixed version underneath where it's actually dark and creepy again. (better to showcase something than nothing)

Keybinds:
WASD - move
LMB - light potion
RMB - stealth potion

Really nice game. Main character and monsters were cute and the flowers were pretty. Thank you for including sprinting, it really ups the quality of life! Good job!

even with the shadow/light inverted, it was fun to play! i like the art work and concept.

once the enemies start chasing you it's difficult to get them to de-aggro, could be interesting to make them de-aggro if you get close to a torch so you can reset before your stamina drains.

You can de-aggro them   after you created the potion at the camp :D There is a fixed version   https://delucky.itch.io/crawling-shadows-fixed-version if you wanna try it out  with the right feeling :D
