  • Nice game, has good bones. Needs more tutorial guidance. Nice idea and fits the theme well. But needs just a bit more help instead of guessing what needs to be done.

Prisoner of Midas is a combination puzzle/escape game where the object is to alchemize several gathered items into new items with the end object of creating the famous Philosopher’s Stone which enables the player to escape the dungeon prison.

Extra Notes
PirateSoftware inspired this married couple to try and make a game for the first time. This is our first attempt, having only downloaded GameMaker and Aseprite a few days before joining the Jam. 100% of the assets for this game were made in-house by us during this Game Jam. We had a lot of fun doing this and learned a lot!

Cool concept but I couldn't find information about how to craft anything. Trying every combination is kinda tedious. I managed to get a pickaxe and it said he could get some ore but I couldn't use it on anything.

Really clever I like this!

I quite enjoy this game and making stuff. I think though having a spell book or some kind of data base for players to use would go a long way in how players play and enjoy the game more.
