  • A good start, nice idea. However it doesn't really fir with the themes - alchemy is more about combining the elements in my view. Also the game contain itself contains no reference to shadows, and I can't see how the shadows mentioned in the GDD will fit. I don't know what you mean my health corruption in GDD or how it could work in the game. But the different effects that they different elements have on the enemies is a nice touch. The art style is a nice start the sprites are a little basic but the first step is just getting a box to move on the screen!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Not in downloadable but in game notes there is a link

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
In the notes section

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
The story is that you are trying to rid the world of the corruption plaguing the world. You do this by gathering the four elements of Fire, Air, Water, Earth, combing them together creates a panaceas to fully rid the world of corruption.

Extra Notes
There were plenty of features I didn't get to add, mainly because of time constraints and me being new to the Godot Engine
Here's a list:
*Four different sections for the elements, Volcano, Plateu, Ocean and a Cave
*Corrupting Health Bar that saps away at your max health
*Melee attack before you gain any magic
*Music and SFX (it's something I've never done and wasn't absolutly neccesary for now)

Thank you for holding this game jam
finally made me get off my ass and make something.

This is a really good start to a game, If you continue to work on this I recommend looking at a game called "20 Minutes Till Dawn". They have a similar structure to this prototype and I feel you could take concepts from that game and put your own twist on them.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
