  • Art is very adorable, game feels like it needs something more. Very simple and clean, game is totally as intended. The item names are funny, the art is adorable, a mini game on the pot may make the game feel more complete. Otherwise awesome job!
  • For starters, this game was very cute. It made me think of an old Lilo and Stitch computer game "Sandwich Stacker" (played as a kid). While the artistic approach to the characters, customers, items and environment were done well, not to mention, soothing music to listen to, too, there were some parts of this game that didn't fully stand out to me, even while it was quite enjoyable for a smaller game. One thing that I had a slight issue with was the movement of the controls; specifically after the player character would bark and then collect the items they needed, the game felt like it slightly dragged a bit, especially when going through the act of gathering the items, a bit of the running animations felt 'choppy' in a sense. Though, this feels more like a nitpick than anything. As for the themes, while the crafting potions part was understood for alchemy, the shadow part didn't fully make sense to me, or come across well enough for me to either interpret its inclusion in the game or how it was displayed. Even when reading your interpretation of shadow from your document, that didn't really come off as very unique to me. My mind, when seeing the description of your game made me think to automatically having a narrative in terms of the customers you're making [illegal] potions for; I'd like to see how this part could be expanded upon, if not to add any story elements, but to see the themes incorporated in a more concise manner. All the same, keep up the good work!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
yes

Tell us about your game!
A short cute game about a puppy alchemist trying to run a little shop.
Catch the needed elements for all the potions and be sure not to run out of your money by dropping your ingredients.

Extra Notes
Thank you for hosting the jam. This was my first one and I hope to join again next time.

Wowww this is so precious. I love the way the puppy runs with his arms out like such a happy little pup. Adorable art and atmosphere, with a nice clean game loop. Great entry!

Really cute game! Plays really fast which I love! Really impressive for a first solo project!
I was sad I couldn't do anything with my money.. Grinding for gold was fun though :)

Thank you very much!
I was thinking of doing something with the money to make it more interesting and add more progression but didn't really get to that
So now it works more as a highscore system.
