  • Pretty neat game! I think the transitions are a bit too jarring leading to a split second of confusion before processing what exactly just happened, other than that the theme is implemented alright and the aesthetics are pretty good. Well done!

Spreading the light is a 2D metroidvania platform puzzler about spreading light to restore a fractured world.

Player Experience:
The player is dropped into a world with four zones, ~7 levels per zone, and multiple puzzles per level. The player will have to solve mechanics-based puzzles to acquire new items through NPC’s and unlock the ability to solve more complex later puzzles. As they interact with NPC’s, they unlock new dialogue and thematically spread light to make the world whole again.

Controls:

Arrow keys / WASD
Jump: Space Bar
Dash: Shift
Action: E
Show Map: M
Toggle Lantern: F
Place torches:
B to place a [B]lue torch
R to place a [R]ed torch
G to place a [G]reen torch
T to place a whi[T]e torch
Change lantern color:
1: White
2: Red
3: Green
4: Blue
Reset Level: Backspace

cant rate cause i am no developer. but nonetheless nice metroidvania/puzzle game.map design is something to maybe simplify in a way.
but once you udnerstand it, it's simple. jsut gets a bt to get used to.
