- Very cute and charming art direction accompanied by a nice, actually on beat rythm game that was enjoyable even for those like me who usually suck at them! Aside from the setting/narrative, the them of the jam didn't really shine through, but this was overall an enjoyable experience.
Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes.
Tell us about your game!
We decided to make our game about the Leucochloridium, a parasite that infects snails. They spread their infection by residing in the eyestalks of snails, mimicking caterpillars by "dancing" inside the eyestalks. Birds come eat the snail, poop out the parasite, and snails eat the poop, thus continuing the cycle.
The controls are very simple, using WASD or the arrow keys to hit notes. Occasionally, mushroom notes will spawn, and when you reach certain thresholds on the snail gauge, you can press space to double your multiplier for a short time. That's it!
Unfortunately, we couldn't find out how to make the arrows work correctly before the game jam was nearly over. The arrows are currently randomised, though they do follow the BPM.
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes.
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes.
Extra Notes
Being our first game and only starting game development about a month ago, we learned an incredible amount of stuff during this process, and would like to thank you for this game jam. The amount of spaghetti code is genuinely incredible.

I thought something was wrong at first because there was no backing beat to the game as the notes started coming down, it was odd to be hitting beat patterns without hearing anything. Maybe this is a bug? but it did eventually kick in.
Overall i liked the game, great job for only 1 month of experience and 2 weeks of effort for the jam. Keep it going it sounds like you got the tenacity to make more games and i know they will just keep getting better.
I also made a rhythm game for this Jam, you guys have a lot more art than I have in mine though. I think i counted only 5 rhythm games total so we are a in a tiny minority of submissions.
Hey there! Thank you so much for the feed back and compliments.
I'm assuming you were talking about the song Sn'all Sh'illing? I was just working on it and it seemed that the starting position for it was bugged so thank you for that! We're working on uploading an updated version at the moment.
I'll be checking out your game for the jam!
Thanks again,
Miguel/Solcantor
