The planet on which the player plays is intended to be a living hive world, with some features like eyes in the terrain emphasizing that the world itself is alive and watching.

We would love to know what you think of the gameplay foundations, without paying too much attention to the polish level. Please give the boss level a shot, even if you didn't buy any upgrades.

Wow, this is a really crazy submission, there's a lot of really cool ideas here but man did the scope creep get the better of you. Honestly though still a great submission, but one thing, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS.. ADD SOUND!even if they're super basic sounds! You can just use jsfxr to generate sounds in easily under 20 minutes, and sticking them in is also pretty quick if you've got a standard game engine.
Ambitious concept. Well done. I unfortunately got soft locked because I was saving money for a pick axe and didn't spend anything on extra jump and went in a cave I couldn't jump out of. The leveling system is cool.
