Unfortunately, I also died regardless of where I went, even if there were no obstacles to be seen anywhere
The obstacles aren't meant to be seen. It's supposed to be like a bat flying sonar. You can gauge where they are by watching the particle effects pop.
I'm confused, I seem to die regardless of what I do. looks cool though, the sprites are a bit blurry is all
Maybe I'll load some instructions in it. I've been debating on reducing the difficulty, or maybe adding difficulty options. I could accomplish this fairly simply by shrink the collision masks of the player character and/or obstacles.
The sprites are meant to indicate where the obstacles appear (think bat using sonar) and you just press on screen to the right or left of your character to move them out of the obstacle paths.
As far as I know, no one has beaten it yet. I've made it a little over halfway; my roommate (a very hardcore game who's beaten every mega man game) has played it quite a bit, and hasn't made it to the end yet, but he's gotten very very close, within a few seconds.
There are paths you can take along the walls that have less obstacles in the way and may allow you some easier progress.
Thank you for your input, keep an eye on the devlog and maybe I'll have an update soon.
##Edit
New version is online with difficulty selection. I was able to beat easy mode on the third try. Let me know what you think: is it too easy? Does it need a medium mode?
