Description
Kind of a mix of chillout electronic orchestral. This was made in one Ableton project

Artist comment:
I made a "light world" and "dark world" song for this challenge. At any point in the song you can fade into the other one seamlessly. I created (and included in the Itch page) a small Unity project that allows you to do this :)

Theme:

Two Worlds

How does it fit the theme?
I wrote a light world and a dark world theme for a forest setting. You can fade between the two songs at any point and they will mesh together :)

Thanks for the Unity project, that was a lot of fun! Is it long to made? (I know nothing about how to do this)

Great tracks!

Glad you like it! The Unity project took maybe an 90 minutes to make. You can watch the stream where I make The Vile Grove and the Unity interface here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1416542447

exceptional representation of the theme!

I can totally imagine this as an actual Game Soundtrack, well done! Also great work on the fading at any time, I've been a big fan of this sort of dynamic scoring since the first time I played Banjo Kazooie. Also I do have quiet a soft spot for odd time signatures :D

I'm not sure how the song ended up in 10/8, but I'm glad it did! Was fun to mess with for sure! If you were interested in more cross-fade style music I did a soundtrack called The Maker's Eden where the main 10 minute gameplay loop was designed to fade between three different versions of intensity. You might dig it :) https://abstractionmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-makers-eden-act-3

Oh neat, thanks, I'll definitely check that out as soon as I have time to listen to non-jam music again :D

Nice subtle ambience. Never overbearing. Great contrast between the light and dark. That theremin towards the end is cute, like a mischievous forest spirit mocking you.

Love the ambiance and correlation between the two styles.

Love the contrasting vibe of each, and keeping them both interchangeable is a super nice touch. Great Job!
