What did this game do well?

very cute design, I found it extra interesting when playing with background music, I think the music really matches with the game itself and makes it very creative and fun to play. I also like the star effects of the character especially when it is jumping upwards, it was a pleasure to play this game!

Everything's really cute, and I lovelovelove the sound effects. The stars when you defeat a mushroom is so cuteee.

A simple platformer that depicts game feels accurately - no over the top screen shake every time you jump, sweet BGM, cute little AIs. It feels like this game could be developed into something nice.

Feels good on the pinky's movement. Give me a little cute superman's feeling.

My favorite effect was the stars effect when you kill an enemy. I also liked how the enemy flips when you squash it. I also liked the music. I think the music fit really well with the game. The ghost effect also looked pretty cool. Overall, it was a very cute platformer.

The effects are cool and well-made, and the overall experience feels fun and cohesive. This project feels like it has potential to develop into full game rather than serving purely as a 'tech demo' for effects, and certainly feels polished despite the downloaded assets. I really liked the fact that the screen shake seems to scales with fall height.

The environment and design is really cohesive and cute! The ghost effect is very well implemented and is believable to be a part of this world's physics.

What could this game have done better?

the gap between each level could be a little bit closer because I found that when I was playing it, when the character reach the floor it was a little difficult to jump towards the next level. The difficulty could also increase a little. Overall it is a very interesting game!

The particles for the trail kinda feels a bit too much, like it's spray out from beneath the player.

The particle effects while moving feels exaggerated. Sound effect when player dies wouldve been fun too.

When the pinky encounters the mushroom, the game will immediately restart. It seems a little bit unexpected and abrupt. It would be better if you put a dying effect or animation on that.

I think the particle effect could have looked better if the particles spawned lower or if they were different colors. The white particles just looked a bit bland and the angle that the particles were spawning at didn't look so nice.

The 'dust' effect feels a little overdone, especially compared to the other subtle and well-tuned effects. I might even say that it subtracts from the feel of the game overall.

The particle effect doesn't really look like it was designed in the style of the world. I initially thought it was a dirt trail coming up from the player interacting with the platform but as it follows the jump, I think it would be more effective to either not allow it to occur when jumping or have it come from a different place.
