What did this game do well?

****************************

I love the multiple bomb inventory and using it to advance in the levels.

I like the use of signs to help explain different game concepts. Additionally, the level gradually got more challenging as game play mechanics were introduced.

There's a lot of different mechanics going on here, and individually each of them works reasonably well! The choice between dodging the fish or just firebombing them is interesting. The theming works reasonably well, too; I don't know if you just threw together random sprites or had a cohesive strange idea but it does succeed at creating a world that feels alien!

I like the use of ice bombs. It's fun to use ice bombs to create roads while the fish destroy them.

Really fun game to play, nice use of different kind of bombs. Well designed and nice game.

Very cute and easy to understand. I like the progression of the level.

It's interesting to design several bombs for different functions.

Its a decent game and the levels showcase mechanics of the game well.

What could this game have done better?

****************************

The game is very tiny and I can't realy 100% see what I'm doing. Also wish the arrow keys worked because its hard to use the keys to switch bombs and jump with the WASD keys.

I think some of the explanations were lacking. For example, I didn’t understand that you needed to be pressing a direction key to use the dash.

'My core issue with this game is that it ends up being a bunch of disparate parts that never really comes together. Like, there's the coins showing how the dash works, which is neat level design, but the dash is never really used again, unless it's supposed to be used in part 2 with the platforms in which case it is extraordinarily difficult to execute.

Likewise, the coins are used a couple of times in the tutorial, which gives the appearance that they're just there for score, but then you can use them to buy one and only one type of item?

The tutorial for the toxic bomb is framed as an optional reward, which is not how tutorials should be framed, but other than that the bombs are the most developed part of this game. Given that you have three types of bombs, maybe it would have been better use of your time and level design space to just develop those further instead, instead of having a bunch of stuff that felt like one offs.'

I think the first time I needed to kill an enemy with a toxic bomb is a bit hard for level 1.

I didnt understand clearly what does the poison bullet does in the start. Background music and sounds could be better.

What happens when you run out of resources? Maybe you should have a game over thing if you run out of resources or a restart button in the corner to restart the level if you feel like your resources are not enough to pass the level.

The visual effects of the bomb explosion is not so obvious. They can make it better.

The movement is a bit too fast and erratic and doesn't feel like it fits some of the precise movement needed at certain points in the game. Also the toxic bomb tutorial place is a little janky.
